Selection Guide
| Restoration | Best For | Not Ideal For | Retrievability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Screw-Retained Crown |
|
| Full: unscrews for maintenance |
| Cement-Retained Crown |

| Screw- or cement-retained, per case |
An angled screw channel (up to about 25°) keeps many angled cases screw-retained. Every package includes the abutment, crown, soft-tissue model, and final screw.
All-Inclusive Implant Crown Packages
Abutment, crown, soft-tissue model with the analog, and final screw, quoted and billed as one package. High-precision, FDA-cleared compatible components are standard, with OEM parts available on request; you can also send your own. Crowns are available in zirconia, e.max, PFM, and PFZ.
Screw-Retained Crowns
Custom Ti abutment plus a crown with a screw access hole. The crown is cemented to the abutment outside the mouth, in the lab or at your bench, so excess cement is cleaned with full visibility instead of being left subgingival; the assembled case seats with a screw and stays retrievable.
- No cement left subgingival
- Delivered assembled, or as separate pieces on request
- Abutment, crown, soft-tissue model with analog & screw included
Cement-Retained Crowns
Custom Ti abutment plus a crown for conventional cementation, where angulation can’t be corrected with an angled screw channel and an access hole would compromise esthetics or occlusion. The crown surface stays intact, with no access hole to fill.
- Custom emergence profile
- Margins set for cement cleanup
- Abutment, crown, soft-tissue model with analog & screw included
Zirconia on Hybrid Abutment
A hybrid zirconia abutment under a zirconia crown for anterior sites where thin tissue would show gray over a titanium collar.
- Warm gingival esthetics
- Zirconia above the Ti base; no gray at the margin
- Anterior esthetic zone
Using Your Own Parts
If you stock your own implant components, send them with the case and we’ll fabricate the restoration on your parts.
- Works with your component stock
- OEM/original parts supported
- Same fit and finish standards
Custom Abutments
CAD/CAM abutments designed per site. Emergence profile, margin depth, and angulation are set from the patient’s tissue rather than taken from a stock shape.
Titanium Custom Abutments
Milled titanium with site-specific emergence and margins set at a depth where excess cement can be removed cleanly.
- Nobel, Straumann, Zimmer, Astra & more (see Common questions)
- OEM parts available on request
- Designed from your scan or impression
Zirconia Hybrid Abutments
Zirconia bonded to a titanium base: metal-free where it shows, with a machined titanium connection at the implant.
- No gray show-through
- Anterior and premolar esthetic cases
- For heavy occlusion we recommend titanium
Full-Arch & All-on-X
PMMA prototypes through definitive full-arch prosthetics. A verification jig is required on every splinted multi-unit and full-arch case (or a verified digital try-in for fully digital workflows), and we’ll guide your team through it.
All-on-4 PMMA Provisional
A milled PMMA replica of the proposed definitive design, made on request when you want the patient to wear it first: a few weeks in function to verify esthetics, phonetics, occlusion, and vertical dimension, with the approved design carried into the definitive prosthesis.
- Made on request as a functional trial
- Milled monolithic PMMA, implant parts included
- Approved design carries into the final
Hybrid Denture (Ti Bar + Acrylic)
CAD/CAM titanium bar wrapped in high-impact acrylic with denture teeth: the established fixed full-arch design, with an acrylic surface that can be repaired chairside or in the lab.
- CAD/CAM milled bar substructure
- Premium tooth lines available
- Repairable acrylic surface
Monolithic Zirconia Full-Arch
Full-contour milled zirconia in one piece: no acrylic to wear, stain, or debond, and no seams at the tissue surface.
- Over 1,000 MPa flexural strength
- Resists staining
- Screw-retained design
Zirconia on Titanium Bar
A zirconia superstructure over a milled titanium bar, for long or demanding arches where esthetics and a rigid substructure both matter.
- Passive fit on the milled bar
- CAD/CAM bar substructure
- For long-span full-arch cases
Implant Overdentures
LOCATOR®-retained removable options that snap onto implants for added retention over a conventional denture. See our removables page for base denture options and premium upgrades.
Locator Overdentures (Full & Partial)
Implant-retained full dentures or metal-framework partials with LOCATOR attachments processed in the lab.
- Attachment processing service
- Housings + retention inserts (zero to high)
- Premium acrylic and teeth upgrades available
Case Support

Common Questions
Screw-retained or cement-retained: which should I order?
- Screw-retained: where the access hole lands in a cleansable, non-esthetic position: retrievable, and no cement to clean.
- Cement-retained: when angulation would put the access hole through the facial.
- Angulation is the only obstacle: an angled screw channel (up to about 25°) usually keeps the case screw-retained anyway; our screw-retained crowns are cemented outside the mouth and delivered assembled or as separate pieces.
Not sure which way to go? Send the scan and ask before defaulting to cement.
Which implant systems do you support?
Most major systems available in the US, including Nobel Biocare, Straumann, Zimmer, Astra (Dentsply Sirona), BioHorizons, Hiossen, Dentis, and Dentium. High-precision, FDA-cleared compatible components are our standard. If your case needs to stay within the implant manufacturer’s guarantee terms, request original/OEM parts on the Rx and we’ll quote them (OEM pricing applies). Send the implant brand, platform, and diameter with the case and we’ll confirm the connection before we start.
What should I send with an implant case?
- Implant details: brand, platform, and diameter for every site; we confirm the connection before we start.
- Scan body: the brand and size used at each site, noted in the case. On analog cases, send the impression coping or your own components.
- Opposing and bite: the opposing arch and a bite registration.
- Shade: on the slip; a shade photo helps on anterior cases.
Unconfirmed connections and unidentified scan bodies are the top reasons implant cases stall. If anything is unclear from what arrives, we call the office before we start.
Why do you require a verification jig on full-arch cases?
It comes down to passive fit. On multi-implant restorations, even small impression distortions stack up across the arch, and a verification jig catches that before we mill a bar or an arch. Finding a distortion at the jig stage costs one appointment; finding it at try-in, after a bar or arch is milled, costs considerably more.
Do you make surgical guides?
We fabricate acrylic pilot guides (surgical stents) that translate your treatment plan to the surgical field.
Can you add LOCATOR attachments to my patient’s existing denture?
Often, yes. If the denture fits well and the base has room for the housings, we process the LOCATOR housings and retention inserts into it at the lab: send the denture with an implant-level impression, or with the abutment positions picked up in a reline-style impression. If the base is thin, worn, or ill-fitting, we’ll recommend a new overdenture instead; the removables page covers base options and upgrades.
What exactly is included in the implant crown package?
The abutment (titanium, hybrid zirconia, or your own component) plus the crown, a soft-tissue implant model with the analog included, and the final screw, billed as one package. Components are not invoiced separately after delivery. Send your own analog with the case and ask about the discount.
